Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals, Inc. (ASAP)

Established in 1999 as a non-profit organization, ASAP has steadily grown to represent the interests of more than 1,800 strategic alliance professionals around the world. This growth has been fueled by the unique value that ASAP delivers to its members.

Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services

Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS)

The Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services was established in 1990 to encourage and promote quality patient care in America. Based initially on the efforts of the American Ambulance Association, the independent Commission publishes a comprehensive set of standards for the ambulance industry and administers the accompanying accreditation program.

Accreditation Seminars: 3-4 annually

Management Highlights:

  • Created a presence for CAAS in the EMS field by strengthening relationships with allied organizations, exhibiting at important industry trade shows, speaking and presenting at state and national programs, advertising in industry publications, and publishing articles in professional journals
  • Developed an effective accreditation seminar series
  • Established a well-visited Web site at www.caas.org
  • Provided guidance for the first major revision of the CAAS gold standards in 2000
  • More than doubled the number of accredited agencies in the U.S. and generated more than 130 new accreditation applications
  • Expanded the CAAS accreditation program to Canada in 2004 and Trinidad in 2007
  • Named to ASAE 2003 Honor Roll
  • Over 96% of eligible agencies have been reaccredited

International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals

International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP)

IARP was established in 1981 under its former name, the National Association of Rehabilitation Professionals in the Private Sector (NARPPS), as a non-profit organization. IARP has grown to represent the needs of 2,500 rehab professionals internationally. IARP is dedicated to: promoting effective multidisciplinary rehabilitation, disability management, and return-to-work services on behalf of persons with disabilities and the economically disadvantaged; enhancing the competency of service providers; supporting innovation in related business development and management; and becoming the pre-eminent source for shaping public policy that affects rehabilitation.

Legal Marketing Association

Legal Marketing Association (LMA)

The Legal Marketing Association (LMA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs and maintaining the professional standards of the men and women involved in marketing within the legal profession.

Management Highlights:

  • Issued a white paper urging nationwide adoption of the newly amended ABA Model Rules addressing advertising and solicitation.
  • Enhanced training for chapter leaders by organizing and vetting all the material for the new LMA Leadership Resource Guide.
  • Created model chapter by-laws and procedures for new chapter development.
  • As part of the Annual Conference, established a virtual trade show that makes pre-planning schedules and vendor visits a more productive experience.
  • Using TCAG’s in-house sales force, increased annual conference sponsorship revenue dramatically and sold out the exhibit hall several months before the show.
  • Published a comprehensive conflicts of interest policy covering all committee members and chairs, chapter leaders, the LMA international board of directors, and professional staff.
  • Totally revamped the association’s Web site using open source Plone technology.
  • Redesigned Web site to include a fee-based supplier directory that allows companies to post marketing materials and special reports, as well as video and audio files.
  • Developed monthly webinars to expand the educational reach of the association.
  • Began providing full management August 1, 2001

Society of Trauma Nurses

Society of Trauma Nurses (STN)

The Society of Trauma Nurses is a membership-based, non-profit organization whose members represent trauma nurses from around the world. Members are nurses involved in trauma care in clinical, administrative, research and educational roles. STN provides educational programs, mentoring, interest groups, outreach and services to its membership to assist trauma nurses in professional development.

Regions: 10 in the U.S., plus Canadian and international members
