Profile integration from Higher Logic

by Brett Wangman — last modified May 09, 2011 02:22 PM

Higher Logic introduced some really cool Profile management and integration options with latest release. Sure to be a hit with OPENAssociations clients.

In today's online world, professional Profile management is becoming an increasingly important and complicated matter.  With every new site we join, we need to complete a Profile about ourselve.  And trying to keep this plethora of Profiles consistent can become a full time job.

That is why I really like the new Profile functionality that Higher Logic has just released to subscribers of its Connected Community service.  Now, a member of a Connect Community, can populate (or a better way to thing about it - synchronize) their Profile on a Connected Community with their profile of LinkedIn.  So, one can quickly update one's Picture, Bio, Education and Job History by simply comparing one's two Profiles on the same screen and then choosing which content you want to sync between these two profiles.   Pretty cool.

One can also add a Twitter feed directly into your Profile as well as link to other profiles one might have on other social networking sites.

While these features will only get better over time, this is a huge step forward for Profile management.  And it once again sets Higher Logic apart for other association collaboration providers.
