Joyce is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in advertising, and she is pursuing a master’s degree in management from National-Louis University. With her solid background managing professional societies and trade associations, Joyce’s responsibilities for the company include account management, business development and strategic positioning. She is a member of the Association Forum of Chicagoland, the American Society of Association Executives and Meeting Professionals International – Chicago Area Chapter, for whom she has been an active volunteer for many years and is currently serving as a board member. She is also involved in several organizations within her community. Joyce received her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation in 1990, and became a Certified Association Executive (CAE) in 2004. Before joining The Center for Association Growth, Joyce was an account executive at another association management company, The Sherwood Group, where she served as executive director of several international associations in medical, scientific, financial and technological industries, and directed many trade shows and annual conventions. She entered the field of association management in the role of continuing education seminar coordinator for the Society of Actuaries.
